Vehicle Graphics for the PJ Services fleet

Peterborough based mechanical services contractor.

PJ Services approached the Productive Design team wanting their fleet of vans to carry their brand when they go out on jobs. There will be a varietyof vans used for the vehicle graphics, so it is important to remember this when creating the designs, as it needs to be able to fit on any vans panels or as a partial wrap.

Lining up the vehicle graphics

Step 1: Put all the printed vehicle graphics on one side up onto the van and ensure everything lines up and fits the van properly, this is where you canĀ manoeuvre the artwork to make it fit the vans curves and recesses best.

Putting marks across the vehicle graphics

Step 2: Once the vehicle graphics are where you want it to be on the van, you will need to make marks by using masking tape which goes on the side of the vehicle graphics and put a cut in it round the vinyl, so you aim to line the bits of masking tape when placing the vehicle graphics onto the van so everything lines up properly.

Applying the vehicle graphics accurately

Step 3: Before applying the vehicle graphics which are too long to be held, the use of magnets or masking tape need to be used to pin down a section of the graphics, so you can work on just the one part of the vinyl and still keep everything else accurate to there marks and to keep it away the way.
